Meta rates + Wapikon subscription — two different bills
WhatsApp API Pricing — Meta Message Rates and Wapikon Platform Fees
Page updated 10 September 2026 · Meta list rates effective July 1, 2026 · Meta pricing docs
WhatsApp API pricing has two vendors. Meta charges for delivered templates (and related conversation categories) by the recipient’s country. Wapikon charges a software subscription for the inbox, flows, broadcasts, and related tools, and does not mark up Meta conversation fees. Optional email goes through your SMTP or ESP. Taxes follow the invoice. Wapikon does not control Meta’s rate card.

Four lines on a WhatsApp API bill
Wapikon does not set or control Meta’s WhatsApp rates. Meta publishes conversation and template charges by destination market and category. Wapikon’s calculator shows those list rates and does not add a markup on Meta conversation charges.
A complete cost picture has four parts. Mixing them into one “per message” quote hides which vendor you are paying.
- Meta / WhatsApp messaging charges — marketing, utility, and authentication templates billed by Meta according to the recipient’s country. Service replies inside an open customer-care window follow Meta’s current service rules.
- Wapikon platform charges — the workspace subscription (inbox, Flow Builder, broadcasts, AI agent with human takeover, omnichannel). Plans are listed on the public pricing section; UAE teams can discuss AED billing. This is not a Meta fee.
- Optional services — email you send through SMTP or an ESP (Brevo, Mailgun, SendGrid, Postmark, Resend) is billed by that provider. Wapikon does not invent a bundled ESP tariff here. Flow Builder is included in Wapikon plans rather than sold as a separate bot SKU.
- Taxes — GST, VAT, or other taxes may appear on the Wapikon invoice according to the billing entity and local rules. The invoice is the source of truth. This site does not invent a tax percentage.
How Meta WhatsApp charges work
When you send an approved marketing, utility, or authentication template, Meta bills a rate mapped to the destination market of the WhatsApp number. Messaging a UAE number is not billed at the same list rate as messaging an Indian number. Service-session replies inside the customer-care window are not the same product as a marketing template.
Utility templates can be free while a customer-care window is open. Volume tiers can lower some utility and authentication rates. Those rules are Meta’s; Wapikon only passes the charge through at cost.
How Wapikon platform charges work
The Wapikon workspace is a SaaS subscription. It includes the shared inbox, Flow Builder, template broadcasts, and the AI support agent with human takeover. Live plan prices are on the public pricing section — this article does not invent SKUs.
UAE teams can discuss AED billing with [email protected] or +971 54 294 5771. Indian teams can use INR billing options. Neither discussion changes Meta’s per-message rates.
Pricing methodology
Meta template rates on this site come from Meta’s public WhatsApp Business Platform rate card, effective July 1, 2026. Source: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/whatsapp/pricing/. They are regenerated from Meta’s published files — not guessed.
The calculator multiplies the list rate for the selected destination market and category by the message counts you enter. Utility messages you mark as free inside the customer-care window are not multiplied. Volume-tier discounts, failed deliveries, quality pauses, and WABA billing currency can change the real Meta invoice.
Wapikon subscription amounts are not hardcoded on these pages because plans are shown live on the pricing section and can be quoted in INR or AED. Never treat the calculator total as “Wapikon’s price.” It is an estimate of Meta list fees only.
Worked examples (Meta list rates only)
India destination · 10,000 marketing templates
Meta list rate for India marketing templates is ₹0.8631 (effective July 1, 2026). 10,000 delivered marketing templates ≈ ₹8,631.00 in Meta fees, before volume tiers. Add 5,000 billable utility and 2,000 authentication at list rates and the Meta subtotal is about ₹9,436.00. Wapikon subscription and tax are not included.
UAE destination · 10,000 marketing templates
Meta list rate for United Arab Emirates marketing templates is AED 0.1832 (effective July 1, 2026). 10,000 delivered marketing templates ≈ AED 1,832.00 in Meta fees. The same 5,000 billable utility + 2,000 authentication mix brings the Meta subtotal to about AED 2,235.20. Still not a Wapikon plan price.

FAQs
No. Meta sets WhatsApp Business Platform conversation and template rates by destination country and category. Wapikon displays those published list rates and does not add a markup on Meta conversation charges. Wapikon’s own subscription is a separate software fee.
Pricing is the rate card (Meta per-template rates plus Wapikon’s subscription). Cost is what a month actually adds up to: Meta fees for the messages you delivered, plus the Wapikon plan, plus optional ESP/email bills, plus tax on the invoice.
No. The calculator estimates Meta list-rate template charges for the destination market you select. Your Wapikon platform subscription is billed separately. Optional email/ESP usage is billed by that provider.
Taxes may apply on the Wapikon platform subscription according to the invoice and the billing country. India GST may apply on software billed in India. UAE VAT or other tax may apply depending on the invoice. Meta conversation charges are Meta’s rates; how they appear with tax is shown on your invoice, not invented here.
